📋 Introduction

This privacy policy applies to Media Compression All-In-One (also referred to as "CompressionTools", "the Application", "we", or "us"), developed by BNeoTech. The Application is free to download with an optional Pro subscription that removes advertisements and unlocks additional features. The Application is intended for use as is.

This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information when you use our Application.

By using the Application, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

📊 Information Collection and Use

We (BNeoTech) do not directly collect or store your personal data on our own servers. However, third-party services (SDKs) integrated within the Application — such as Google AdMob and RevenueCat — may collect certain data automatically as necessary for their operations. This information is used to provide and improve the Application's services. We do not sell, trade, or share your personal information with unauthorized third parties.

The types of information we may collect include:

• Device Information: Your device's Android operating system version, device model, and manufacturer — used solely to determine storage permission requirements and ensure compatibility.
• File Access: The Application accesses files on your device (photos, videos, audio, PDFs) solely for the purpose of compression. Files are processed locally on your device and are never uploaded to any server.
• Network Status: We check your network connectivity status solely to determine whether ad-serving capabilities are available.
• Advertising ID: Google AdMob may collect your device's Advertising ID to serve personalized or non-personalized advertisements (see "Third Party Services" below).
• Local Preferences & Subscription Data: The Application stores minimal data locally on your device: your theme preference (light/dark mode), your GDPR consent choice, and your subscription status. None of this data is transmitted off your device.
• Video Processing: The Application uses third-party libraries for video compression that operate entirely on-device and do not collect or transmit any data externally.

We do NOT collect:

• Contacts, call logs, SMS messages
• Microphone or camera recordings
• Your compressed or original files (all processing is offline)

🔐 Permissions

The Application requires the following permissions to function properly:

• Storage / Media Access: Required to read files from your device for compression and write the compressed output files back to your storage.
• Manage External Storage: On Android 11+ devices, this permission allows the Application to access files across your device for compression purposes.
• Internet / Network Access: Required to serve advertisements via Google AdMob and to verify subscription status via RevenueCat.
• Location Permissions: The Application includes ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION and ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION permissions. These are not actively used by our code but are included by Google Play Services / AdMob SDK for advertising purposes (e.g., serving location-relevant ads where permitted by your consent). We do not independently collect or store your location data.

All permissions are requested at runtime and can be revoked at any time through your device settings.

🤝 Third Party Services

The Application uses the following third-party services that may collect information used to identify you:

📢 AdMob ▶️ Google Play Services 💳 RevenueCat

• Google AdMob & Google Play Services: Used to display advertisements (App Open Ads, Interstitial Ads, and Rewarded Ads). AdMob may collect your Advertising ID (AAID), IP address, device information (model, OS version, manufacturer), app usage data, and approximate location (if permitted by your consent) to serve relevant ads and combat fraud. Please refer to Google's Privacy Policy for details on how they handle your data.
• RevenueCat (purchases_flutter): Used to manage in-app purchases and subscriptions (Pro/Premium plans). RevenueCat may collect your App User ID, purchase transaction data, subscription status and expiration, and device identifiers to verify and sync your subscription. RevenueCat does not receive your payment card details — all payments are processed directly by the Google Play Store. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.

Additionally, the Application uses the following device-level utilities that do not collect or transmit personal data off-device:

• Device Info Plus: Reads device model, OS version, and manufacturer — used solely for compatibility checks and storage permission requirements.
• Package Info Plus: Reads app version and package name — used for in-app update checks.
• Connectivity Plus: Reads network connectivity status — used to determine ad-serving availability.
• Permission Handler: Manages runtime permission requests — does not collect data.
• Get Storage: Stores minimal user preferences (theme, consent choice, subscription status) locally on-device — never transmitted.

🍪 Consent & GDPR Compliance

For users in the European Economic Area (EEA) and the United Kingdom, we comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the ePrivacy Directive. Before any ads are served or data is collected through third-party SDKs:

• A consent form is displayed requesting your explicit consent for personalized advertisements and data collection by Google AdMob.
• You may choose to accept or decline personalized ads. Declining will result in non-personalized ads being shown instead.
• You can change your consent preferences at any time via the Privacy Options button available in the Application's About section.
• If you are a Pro/Premium subscriber, no advertisements are displayed and no ad-related data is collected.

⚖️ Legal Basis for Processing

Under the GDPR, we process your personal data based on:

• Your Consent: For personalized advertisements via Google AdMob and collection of your Advertising ID. You provide this consent when first launching the app.
• Contractual Necessity: For managing your subscription and Pro/Premium status via RevenueCat.
• Legitimate Interests: For basic functionality — network connectivity checks, device compatibility, and local preferences.

You may withdraw your consent at any time through the Privacy Options menu in the Application's About section.

🗂️ Data Retention & Deletion

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy:

• Advertising ID & Ad Data: Managed by Google AdMob. We do not store this data on our own servers. Refer to Google's retention policy for details.
• Subscription Data (RevenueCat): Managed by RevenueCat. Retained according to their policies for the duration of your subscription lifecycle and any required legal retention period. Refer to RevenueCat's Privacy Policy for details on their retention and deletion practices.
• Local Preferences: Stored on-device only. Deleted automatically when you clear the app data or uninstall the Application.
• Files (media): All compression is offline. The Application does not upload, retain, or have access to your files on any server.

If you have concerns about your data, you may contact us at bneotech.id@gmail.com. Since we do not store your personal data on our own servers, deletion requests primarily relate to local app data which you can clear at any time via your device settings.

🌍 International Data Transfers

Your data may be transferred to and processed in countries outside of your country of residence, including the United States, where our third-party service providers (Google, RevenueCat) operate their servers. These countries may have data protection laws that differ from those in your jurisdiction.

Where such transfers occur, we ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place, including:

• Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs): Approved by the European Commission as providing an adequate level of data protection.
• Google's EU Data Protection Compliance: Google participates in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and offers SCCs for data transfers. See Google's Data Transfer Frameworks.
• RevenueCat's Compliance: RevenueCat commits to GDPR-compliant data processing and provides data processing agreements (DPAs) to all customers.

By using the Application, you acknowledge that your data may be transferred internationally as described above, with appropriate safeguards in place.

⭐ Pro / Premium Subscription

The Application offers an optional Pro (Premium) subscription through RevenueCat. When you subscribe:

• All advertisements are removed.
• RevenueCat processes your purchase transaction and manages your subscription status.
• Your subscription expiration date is stored locally on your device to determine your Pro status offline.
• You can restore your purchase or manage your subscription at any time from within the Application.

Subscription payments are processed by the Google Play Store. We do not have access to your payment card details.

🔒 Data Security

We value your trust in providing us your information, and we strive to use commercially acceptable means of protecting it. However, remember that no method of electronic storage or transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

• All file compression is performed entirely offline on your device. Your files are never transmitted to any external server.
• We do not maintain any server-side databases that store your personal information or files.

👶 Children's Privacy

This Application does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13 years of age. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will immediately delete it. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

🔄 Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes to this Privacy Policy are effective when they are posted on this page. You are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. We do not collect your email or contact information, so we cannot notify you directly of updates.
